Established in 2010 in memory of Dr. David Foti, `80 by his classmates in 1980, to support awards in the School of Dental Medicine. Must have completed the first year of dental school, display strong spirit and character amd taken actions that have helped their classmates.

- ESSAY QUESTION: Awarded to a student entering their second year who has displayed a strong spirit character and course of action that helped his/her classmates weather the difficulties and challenges of the first year of dental school. This may have been demonstrated by tutoring/counseling classmates, referring classmates to appropriate sources for assistance, organizing/leading or participating in meetings to discuss issues, alleviating times of tension with his/her jovial spirit and being a person that you would call a friend.
