William E. Townsend Scholarship Fund - NT
This is a recruitment scholarship, preferably for incoming first year or transfer undergraduate students. It is a non-tuition scholarship.
In 1992, William E. Townsend, BA ’50, created these scholarships for freshmen in the natural sciences in the College of Arts & Sciences. Preference to chemistry majors, Western New Yorkers, and those with outstanding personal character.
Financial need is considered for eligibility of this opportunity. Applicants should file an annual FAFSA. Students ineligible to file a FAFSA may demonstrate financial need on the General Application by selecting “Yes” to the Financial Hardship question and providing a brief summary of their circumstances (if “No,” leave blank).
