Professor James J. Whalen Student Scholarship

Established by Dr. Elizabeth A. Whalen in 2022. Must be a junior majoring in the in the Department of Electrical Engineering within the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences with a GPA of at least a 3.00. Student must submit a short statement explaining how they became interested in electrical engineering and how the scholarship would be helpful to their success at UB.

Financial need is considered for eligibility of this opportunity. Applicants should file an annual FAFSA. Students ineligible to file a FAFSA may demonstrate financial need on the General Application by selecting “Yes” to the Financial Hardship question and providing a brief summary of their circumstances (if “No,” leave blank).
