Willie R. Evans UB Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship
Established in 2010 by the UB Alumni Association in honor of Willie R. Evans, EDM ’60. Must be a full-time undergraduate student with a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian who graduated from UB. Scholarships are awarded annually in the spring semester to qualifying full-time undergraduate students in any academic discipline or course of study. Applicants must describe the impact of UB legacy on their experience, outlook towards UB, and their impact to campus life. Preference to students with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Finalists may be interviewed. Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year open September 1 with a deadline of October 15 for submission of all application components. Award recipients will be selected and announced in January.
Financial need is considered for eligibility of this opportunity. Applicants should file an annual FAFSA. Students ineligible to file a FAFSA may demonstrate financial need on the General Application by selecting “Yes” to the Financial Hardship question and providing a brief summary of their circumstances (if “No,” leave blank).
