Cathy Davius Memorial Award

Cathy (Lam) Davius spent her short six months after graduating from University at Buffalo working in the field she loved – nutrition. She obtained her Registered Dietitian license and began her career as a dietitian at Grand Prairie School District in Grand Prairie, Texas where she lived with her husband of nine months and their cat, Taco. Two months after starting her dream job, her life was tragically cut short in a car accident. Cathy’s friends and family founded this memorial award to celebrate her legacy and carry on her passion for nutrition and wellness. This gift is given in memory of Cathy Davius and will provide a monetary stipend to one Clinical Nutrition MS student. The honoree should model Cathy’s desire for academic and professional excellence, and passion for expanding their knowledge of nutrition. Preference is giving to first generation college students.
