Jerry Linder Academic Achievement Award
The Minority Faculty & Staff Association (MFSA) Jerry Linder Academic Achievement Award fund was established to provide awards to a sophomore or junior who meets high academic standards. The 2024 award will be in the amount of $500.00. The award is named in honor of Jerry Linder, who served as a Classification, Recruitment, Staffing and Salary Administration manager in the UB department of Human Resources. Jerry started at UB in 1970, and was a tireless supporter in MFSA, serving as president from 2009 to 2016. She passed away in 2022. The award is supported by donations given largely, but not exclusively, by minority faculty and staff at UB.
Scholarships will be awarded in the spring semester during the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Event on February 28, 2024.
