Dr. Kathy J. Dien Hillig, BS ’77 and Dr. Kurt W. Hillig II
Kathy J. Dien Hillig, BS ’77, and husband Kurt W. Hillig established the Hillig Student Assistance Fund to support undergraduate students majoring in chemistry who have completed two or more years of chemistry courses to further their study in the field of Chemistry.
After completing her degree at UB, Kathy received a PhD in chemistry at the University of Michigan, doing research in analytical chemistry. She then spent over 33 years at BASF, holding various positions in analytical research, product regulations and master data process design.
