Luigi “Gino” Calvi, BA '89

Family and friends of Luigi “Gino” Calvi established this fund to honor his appreciation for academic excellence and leadership qualities in undergraduate students at UB.

Calvi, who earned a bachelor’s degree in economics at UB, and met his wife while attending the university. A native of East Rutherford, NJ, Calvi was a bond trader for Cantor Fitzgerald at its downtown New York City location. He was 34 when he died Sept. 11, 2001, in the World Trade Towers collapse.
