Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF), CARES Act

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) application is now available. The deadline to submit a completed application is April 16, 2021. Students currently enrolled and matriculated in a degree program and who meet federal financial aid requirements may be eligible to receive funding. The 2020-2021 FAFSA must be on file at UB in order to confirm eligibility. Funds may be limited in number and size due to funding constraints. HEERF was established as part of the U.S. federal government’s Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and provides emergency financial assistance to eligible students who have experienced financial hardship due to the disruption of campus operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Grant applications will be reviewed by our committee after the application deadline of April 16, 2021. Once the committee makes a decision on your HEERF Grant application, you will be notified via email. If approved, the funding will be applied to your account and refunded accordingly. All decisions are final.
